Titi is a MAMA!!! Welcome Baby Siueli!

My good friend and sister in law Titi Vimahi Ha'o gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on December 29th! We went to visit her at 7pm at Castle Hospital but the baby didn't arrive yet so we left. At 9:05 pm little baby "Siueli" made her way into the world! Siueli means "jewel" in tongan. They will call her "eli" for short. She was 6 1/2 pounds and 18 1/2 inches long. She loves to open her eyes and discover the world around her. She's a beauty with lots of hair!(Hmmmm... she needs to donate some of her tongan curls to Kienna who is lacking hair.)
Titi has been an amazing example of strength and positivity as she battles breast cancer. She is a true trooper and perfect example of one who puts ALL of her trust in the Lord. Even when it seems all odds are against her, she has never given up. Our family is grateful to our Heavenly Father for taking care of Titi so that she can give birth to a healthy and beautiful baby girl. They are such a cute family! Ahhh... I love those guys choke!

Hazel becomes a MOMMY for Christmas!!

Hazel Keil Fonoimoana, one of my bestest friends received a special Christmas present on Christmas Eve. Her baby daughter Amelia Line Fonoimoana! She was born Dec 24th at 1 am, she was 6 lbs 11 oz and 20 inches tall. According to Hazel she has long fingers and toes and has been caught smiling from day one. I'm super happy for Hazel and David!
I'm so excited they moved back to Hawaii.(It's about time you guys!) They are here to open up the new TARGET stores in Kapolei and Salt Lake. What an awesome Christmas present. Hazel is gonna be the bomb mother! She's funny, smart, and her greatest quality that I appreciate is that for as long as I have known her she has always tried to do the right thing. She is such an example to me.
Enjoy the beautiful picture of "Baby Ame"!

Gramma Akoi,

Right now Joe and I are living in Hilo with my Gramma Rhea Akoi. She is my dad's mother. She was born and raised on the Big Island. When I was born 27 years ago in Hilo, my parents were living with Gramma Akoi too. It is so nice that Kienna can be with her Tutu Gramma and spend time with her. She is 81 years old and still doing yard work, cooking, quilting, and teaching ukulele. If there is one thing that I have learned from her, it is LOVE. She is a woman with a big heart. She is always wanting to give away something. (Joe and I have delivered countless canned foods, bags of rice, and bread to our neighbors in need.) She is the bomb. I'm grateful that I can be around her during this time in my life. She is the lady that fed me fish and poi everyday when I was a baby and I'm hoping Kienna will experience the same things too. Gramma is super old skool to the way she changes diapers to the songs she sings. Instead of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", she sings, "One Little, Two Little, Three Little Indians." Gramma is also the big shot caller. She can even shot call the bishop of our ward and its okay. The bishop delivers poi to our home every Friday. There is also a laulau delivery once a month! So many people love and respect her.
We love you Gramma! Thank you for being part of our lives.

The attempted Christmas Photos!

Thank you Hermana Ogrins from Canada for the beautiful blanket! It came just in time for her Christmas photo shoot!

Getting ready for her photo with Santa at Prince Kuhio Mall. Daddy got her all dressed in pink and brown.

Precious Moments

Isn't it great to catch the unexpected on camera! Here are some recent "Precious Moments"...
This is Kienna's cousin Shay-Shay. She is only 4 years old and her parents are Jay and Shanny Adolpho. I was babysitting one day and left them alone to go to the bathroom. I came back and Shay was reading to Kienna!

Shay made up all the words into her own story.

To me, one of the definitions of the word "TALENT" is One who is gifted in something that others may find challenging or impossible. Can you do this in your sleep?

Gobble...Gobble... Happy Thanksgiving

This year like every year we decided to have Thanksgiving at the Ha'os! They have the bestest food ever! Fried Turkey, Roast Turkey, Garlic Mash Potatoes, Corn Pudding, Homemade Stuffing, Butter Rolls, Sweet Potato Casserole, Cranberries...and for dessert haupia, pumpkin crunch, jello creamcheese pie, blueberry cheesecake, and apple cider! Yeah, that is why I love Thanksgiving at the Ha'os.
Anyway this Thanksgiving was super special because our little brother Jared who returned from serving a mission in Paraguay finally proposed to his girlfriend, Celeste Manuia. The 2 are a perfect match. They are super alike... athletic, smart, funny, kind, and fun to be around. He popped the question right before our thanksgiving meal when everyone had to say what they were grateful for.
The Wedding Day is set for May and they have already started planning away. I'm so happy for these 2. It's so much fun watching them in puppy love stage too... they are too cute.

Right after Jared popped the question to Celeste... She answered YES of course.
