On May 5th we drove an early morning drive to the hospital in Waimea for my first ultrasound. We were super excited and took Kienna with us.
As the radiologist at the Women's Imaging Center checked to see if the baby was ok, he asked us,
"would you like to find out the sex of the baby?"
I said, "yes please, I'm super impatient and can't wait!"
he said, "okay, its a penis!"
At first I didn't know whether to be happy or embarrassed. Usual good news at an ultrasound sounds like "Congratulations, its a boy!" or "It's a Girl!" You know, something basic and normal. Don't he dare ruin the moment like that!
Anyway, we were still very thrilled that Kienna would have a little brother. Joe and I both had dreams that this baby would be a boy. It was even better to see the dreams confirmed. We have been thinking of names and we would like to name our son Kingston Nako'oko'o Ha'o. That is what we are feeling so far. I'm due on October 13th so I'm about half way there!
