SHE'S ALL GROWN UP

Kei and my cousin Makana. The poster was hillarious thanks to my brother Allen and his wife Tai. They took this picture when they were 8 years old. Both looked cock-eyed and stuck their tongue out.
The Akoi's: Tai, Allen, Kainoa, Neil, Mom, Kei, Me, Dad
Kienna with Gramma Akoi, Aunty Haulani.
Kei with Kienna and Gramma! Kienna was a trooper and lasted the whole graduation ceremony, lei giving, and picture taking.
Kahuku Class of 2009

The Munchkin Finally Graduates!!

Last Thursday was Kahuku High's Class of 2009 Graduation and there I was watching my little sister Kei in her red cap and gown. The CAC was PACKED from top to bottom with families, alumni, and future graduates. I haven't been to a Kahuku Graduation since my own back in 1999, and attending this event brought back so many memories of our "99 Graduation". Kei gave an awesome Valedictorian Speech. There were 14 Valedictorians and they all did an awesome job.

Kei will be going to BYU Provo this Fall. After her SOAR visit to the campus last summer, she was sold to the school. This will be her first official time away from home not counting her promo trips and school trips to the mainland. She is planning to major in Broadcast Journalism. I'm so proud of her and especially admire her ability to DREAM BIG and make it happen. We love you Kei! Good Luck in Utah!

I saw your mom with Kienna at the mall the other week. I had no idea your sister was graduating from high school. Wow, time flies huh. If she ever needs a home-cooked meal, she can always look us up. We're 10 minutes away from campus.
