Macaroni & Cheese Birthday

Everyone gathered around Kienna's Little Molten Lava Cake to sing Happy Bday.

There's a first for everything. Kienna never ate Spam, Eggs, and Rice before. But she loved it! This is her Uncle Jordan, Uncle Jesse, and Daddy eating breakfast before they go to school.
She enjoyed playing with the cake alot more than eating it.
Her first taste of chocolate was too sweet for her! Good girl...

And this is how we ended her first bday!

One year ago on August 28th at 2:26 an Kienna was born! I can't believe how fast the time has gone and she is already ONE! Yes, times are hard and money is hard to come by... but that is NOT the reason why we celebrated her Bday eating Macaroni and Cheese. Joe's family has a birthday tradition that I really like. The person celebrating their birthday gets to eat their favorite food on their bday. Since Kienna can grind Macaroni and Cheese, we decided to eat that for her birthday. It was a fun, small, and simple day for our little baby. She woke up and we sang Happy Birthday to her. Uncle Jordan cooked her some spam, eggs, and rice for breakfast before he left for school. Later on in the day we went to pick up some balloons and a present for her. That night we celebrated with Joe's family in Waikoloa by eating Macaroni and Cheese. Her Gramma Ha'o made her a MUD PIE. It was a winner!! Kienna got to taste a Molten Lava Cake and dig into it. She ended the day by brushing all of that chocolate off her teeth! We love you Kienna Mika! Happy Birthday Sweetheart!

Happy birthday to your little girl! I love the idea of having the birthday person's favorite dish for dinner.
