KINTEN BOY...
Kienna calls him KINTEN BOY and rushes to him every morning. They get along so well.
NONA!
Kienna Mika loves Snowmen! Everytime she sees one on a Christmas ornament, an inflatable one in someone's yard, or on a Christmas card, she yells out "NONA"! She can't say snowman yet. There is a Kienna sized Snowman at Joe's house and she takes him for walks and talks with him. She gives him a hug every morningShe is enjoying her Winter Vacation in Laie. My mom spoils her with attention and love and she is getting attached.
We are also hoping her hair grows out soon. On occasion she is mistaken for a baby boy even when she wears a pink dress. So Joe has been practicing some up-do's during bath time. We think she will be pretty cute with hair.
FHE with my DAD'S Kupuna Choir
My dad is a Director of a Kupuna Choir. He invited us to watch his Kupuna Choir do a Front Entrance Christmas Show at the PCC. So we decided to go for Family Home Evening. Kingston had to stay home because he was sick. We had a blast. Their were so many kupuna from the community that participated that night. They sang Hawaiian songs and Christmas songs. I'm so proud of my Father. He is such a blessed and busy man. He is a great leader among different generations. I can tell that he loves the members of his choir and they love him. Good job Dad!
Blast from the Past
Almost 10 years ago in the year 2000 I met 3 amazing friends backstage at the PCC nightshow. They are Nisi Farpapau from Fiji, Rose Taua from Maui, and Kaui Kaina from the Big Island. All of you who have danced at PCC know that the friendships that begin there, continue no matter how many years pass by. We all danced in the same section together... Hawaii, Maori, and Tahiti. There was a time when I worked at PCC that I had absolutely no friends to hang out with because of a misunderstanding. These 3 girls were best friends with each other and they accepted me as their fourth. They are so talented in their own way and very loving. In the past ten years we have experienced trials, marriage, children, and motherhood. Although we have lived in different places and moved on in different directions, we still managed to support and keep in touch with each other. This month we gathered together to celebrate Rose's Graduation from BYU-Hawaii. I don't know how she did it with 3 kids! (I could barely graduate from college when I was single!) The four of us celebrated her graduation by going to dinner at "Tanaka of Tokyo" at Alamoana Shopping Center. Very cool Japanese restaurant that has their chef's cook your meals in front of you. It was so nice to spend time with them after all these years.

My Sisters
One of the biggest blessings I've received since marrying Joe are my sister in laws. They are the bomb and such great women. They are some of my very best friends and I feel so lucky that I can confide in them,
laugh with them,
have a REAL conversation with them,
shop with them,
trust them with my children,
take silly photos with them,
and respect them for their individuality and greatness.
I love you girls! Thanks for being you!
